Going To Tiritiri Matangi

 GOING TO TIRITIRI MATANGI

The year 5&6 went to an island called Tiritiri matangi. We went there so we can learn about NZ native birds. The birds we saw were kariki, bell bird,Tui,kiwi, saddleback,New Zealand pigeon and fantail. We first went on the bus. After the bus we went on a ferry for free. It takes a long time to get to there. The ferry was yellow and others were white. It had three floors. We went on the bottom floor. When we arrived at Tiritiri matangi we had guides to guide us and tell us what kind of birds there were.  We walked for a long time looking at the birds. After that we had our lunch. There was this lighthouse.  It was built on 1865. The british people brang it here and also built it.  Then we got to do a scavenger hunt.  For the scavenger hunt we had a paper. With the paper we had to look for pictures. When we found the picture we had to write were it was. (like it was next to the
fountain.) Next we went on the went on a beach. We spent some time at the beach then the ferry came. Then went back to the bus. After that we came to the school. It was night when we came back. Our parents were waiting at the school. We got picked up and then went home.

I think that this was really cool how you got to go to TiriTiri Matangi. It sound like you had fun. What was your favourite part? Maybe next time you could add what it was like on the ferry. Apart from that awesome post.

Kind Regards
